Hello dear friends!
Can't quite believe Easter is just about here. I'm so thrilled we have a four day weekend ahead. I love that all the shops are closed on Good Friday and so many also on Sunday. It's such a nice feeling to have the streets calm and empty and for everyone to be forced to look to quieter, more family orientated ways to spend the day. Don't get me wrong I love that I can go to my favourite cafe 7 days a week and I enjoy a bit of retail therapy as much as the next gal. It's just that I relish the peace that comes with those couple of days when it all stops. No emails coming in, fewer obligations. Just time with my little family, enjoying multiple cups of coffee and of course a little chocolate....
I'm pretty moderate when it comes to my chocolate consumption but I do love it. I tend to go for the good stuff. Dark, simple and preferably fair trade.
I've gathered some of my favourite chocolate recipes from the blog. I'm encouraging you to think outside the square a little. Easter giving doesn't have to be about eggs. What about a batch of gluten free cacao and beetroot brownies or some raw chocolate bark w/ pistachios and goji berries. Who wouldn't love to receive that? I love that all of these look beautifully homemade - full of love.
I've shared all the links below. Have a wonderful Easter.

I wrote this luscious recipe for Beetroot, Walnut & Cacao Brownies for Alisons Pantry last year. Link is HERE
Rar Chocolate Bark w/ Pistachios & Goji Berries is full of the goodness of coconut oil and an antioxidant boast from the raw cacao. This one likes to live in the freezer so it's probably best if you just make it for yourself. Link is HERE.
For the little people in your life or for a taste of childhood, my Wholesome Chocolate Crackles are awesome. Link is HERE.
Dark Chocolate & Almond Butter Cups. This recipe uses raw chocolate but you could keep it really simple and use a good quality store-bought dark chocolate. They make a beautiful gift. Link is HERE.
